Physical Description: Yuffie is a tiny little thing, with slender limbs and of short stature. Her 5'3" is anything but imposing, even when she waves her arms and stands on her toes. Maybe she'd scare kittens that way. Maybe. Anyway, her hair is cropped really short in a cute little bob that falls into her eyes, and she has a blue cloth headband (well, it was blue once, but now it's grey because she likes it and totally doesn't want to get a new one) with feathers on the end (see? How cool is that? How many headbands have feathers?) that she ties around her hairline for no real reason, except that it looks really cool. Her hair's black, by the way. And her eyes are really dark brown.
Yuffie is very fond of green shirts, and since it's really hot on Naraka, she dresses rather minimally, in tiny shorts (usually khaki) and midriff shirts that keep her from overheating in the summer. Winters are never too cold, so she doesn't have to tailor her wardrobe too much, but she has been known to pull on a jacket. Though she never really wears pants, Yuffie wears progressively taller and taller socks when she's cold, and she only really uses the jacket as a last resort--most of the time she'll just wear some fishnet sleeves under the gloves she usually wears when she's ninja'ing around.
Oh, yeah. She's a ninja, by the way. Yuffie has all manner of shuriken, most of which she carries around with her at all times. Her belt (a neon blue leather one she, ah...borrowed indefinitely from a pirate passing through Kusadasi) holds any number of pouches with tiny little throwing stars, and she has a much larger pair that she could never hope to hide on her person--they're like, three times as wide as she is. There's not much other than that...except she's cute. Like, way cute. She could rob you blind and you'd hardly even mind. Not all that much anyway. Well, some people mind, she guesses, but overall she's just way too cute for anyone to care.
Personality: Yuffie is... ...exceptionally perky. She's bubbly and enthusiastic and quite friendly; she'd eagerly chat up the wall if she honestly thought the wall was listening. Don't be fooled entirely, though--Yuffie is almost viciously stubborn and determined; once she gets something into her head you'd be hard-pressed to pry it out unless you had a mental crowbar and about eight tons of leverage. She's also rather immature for her age and quite proud; she hates to be bested. In Yuffie's eyes, the score isn't settled until she comes out on top, and everything up until that point is still the same battle. And everything after that point is a new battle. See, she doesn't lose. Ever. She's just...still in the process of winning, you guys.
Abilities/Strengths/Weaponry: Yuffie is a great ninja. Despite everything, she actually...is pretty good at it. She can sneak around unnoticed (unless she starts talking), can break into any number of places, can steal pretty much anything without detection...and though she prefers to use shuriken she's fairly adept at all manner of blades and hand-to-hand weaponry. She's a decent shot with a gun, but they're way too loud for her tastes, but bows are pretty cool, though rare, and running out of arrows is kinda lame. Very fast and limber, Yuffie is also (surprisingly) a master at unarmed combat and martial arts. She allegedly invented skinfighting, at least in its current, Narakan form; she's quick and deft and no-nonsense when it comes to fighting...at least when she takes the fight seriously.
Weaknesses: Where to start. Obnoxiously loud, Yuffie never knows when to shut up, and sometimes even if you tell her to shut up, she won't take the hint. Come to think of it, she doesn't really pick up on subtlety at all, nor can she dish it out; she's very blunt and doesn't really understand how she just alienated her newest acquaintance. She'll rob you at the drop of a hat (especially if you drop your hat; that's like...you might as well run around screaming "Take my hat, please!"--and she steals stuff besides hats, too) and will go epically out of her way for anything shiny. Gullible and suspicious at the same time, Yuffie tends to fall for tricks despite her best efforts and then kicks herself for it later, because she totally knew that was what you were planning the whole time. She's not physically strong and looks like to snap in half if the wind blows too hard, though she's vivacious enough to compensate for that.
History: Yuffie was born a pure-blooded Narakan in the strongest sense of the word. That doesn't mean her parents were both born on Naraka and lived on Naraka and she was born on Naraka too (she was and they were, but that's not the point here); it means that her bloodline can be traced back to the ancient tribes of Naraka, back before the Aegean King annexed the island, back when the island was much bigger and greener and wealthier, and the various little clans (ninja clans) lived on Naraka peacefully, the various chiefs forming their own council from which they then elected a head chieftan. And Yuffie is descended from those chiefs. As such, she grew up completely supporting Narakan independence, and she fought in the revolution alongside her parents. Her mother fell, though her father did not, but Yuffie never agreed with his surrender.
She called it that, anyway. When the revolution ended, her father had simply accepted it--they'd tried, and failed. But Yuffie had wanted to fight to the last man standing, and even now she sees the situation more as Naraka biding her time than a final and lasting peace with Aegis. After a dreadful falling out with her father a year ago, when she'd called him a coward and then bailed out the door (to return ten minutes later to get her stuff, but then she was totally gone forever), Yuffie began wandering Hell's Eyes, 'gathering funds' with which to launch another revolution. By this, she means she steals, though she's managed to accrue a pretty decent sum of money in her various bank accounts. She has three, all started at the same bank, and most of the tellers there know which three are hers, but it's more convenient that way, right?
